In my last minute market madness I've been working on new brooch designs. Crazy huh! I cut these owls out this morning from a piece of super old Silky Oak that used to be a post in a school and when it came to drawing in the details I thought I'd try something a little different. I chose the Silky because I thought it would be like feathers and I think it peeks through the outlines just right. No need for colour on these babies, they're staying au naturale!!
The next exciting news I have to share is that I finally found an awesome stockist of recycled cardstock in Australia and to make it even better, my stuff arrived the day after I ordered it.....excellent!
It's the nicest cardstock I've ever used and my prints have come up really well on it. It's a recycled cardstock that's made using wind generated power....totally eco and gorgeous too. I got it from Amazing Paper and I can't wait to try out some of the other stuff they've got. They've got paper made from recycled beer bits and pieces and all sorts of other lovely stuff.
So now I've got two days to go until the BrisStyle Indie Eco Market. I have no idea what to expect but I absolutely can not wait to get out and about with my markety friends and check out all the amazing stuff on offer. Do come and say hi if you're in the area, won't you!
