Here's some new drawings I've been working on. They're probably going to get some colour but not full colour if that makes sense. What do you think?
Today I'm working on guitar brooches and magnets made from recycled Camphor Laurel and salvaged White Cedar. The White Cedar is so hard and tight it makes my dremel jump which generally makes my fingers bleed. Mr Jetta's Nest is working on making me some gizmo that can hold the brooches for me while I work on them so my fingers can have a rest. Oh, the guitar's I'm making are an acoustic, a Les Paul and a Flying V!!
Now I'm off to check on the orange cake that's in the oven as requested by the biggest boy. What are you up to this fine wintery weekend?

They are incredible!
ReplyDeleteWatercolour? Metallic-y watercolour? Love them... you are so talented and cool!! ;)
ReplyDeleteThis Winters eve, I am enjoying a glass of sparkling Banrock Station White Shiraz, whilst dinner cooks, and I ponder the afternoon I spent talking about Seed Saving with The Urban Homesteaders Club... oh, and reading blogs!!
These are gorgeous Sam, and I can't wait to see your guitars. I just dragged my old semi-acoustic out of storage the other day, and have been busting out a few classics such as 'grandma's feather bed' and 'down at the station' with the kids. Awesome fun :P
ReplyDeleteI think one of these brooches will be callin' my name at the market :D
