Knit-head

Knit-head, originally uploaded by Jetta's Nest.

Times are crazy at the moment and I feel like I'm spread as thin as vegemite on a Vita-Wheat. It's the end of the holidays and after a few blissful days, the kids are now at each other and their voices are making me wish I could rip my eardrums out.

I've been reading this book lately that talks about 'stewing in ones own juices'. I tend to do that a lot. You know when it seems less worrying just to worry about something than to actually deal with it and find out what's going on. I do that. I've decided to stop 'stewing in my juices' and this morning I dealt with something yucky that made my hands tremble. Turns out it's not so bad. Hmm.....let that be a lesson to me......it's no fun to stew! Do you stew? I can highly recommend unstewing even if it's seriously scary. I feel a little lighter.

Anways, enough about me and my topsy-turvy existance...here's a little something I whipped up yesterday over my morning coffee. She loves to knit....what do you think? Not sure if I want to watercolour this one or pop it on canvas with a knitting pattern collaged background.

Hope you're having a good day :)

  2. Great artwork, she's gorgeous! (Did I ever tell you how clever you are!! LOL)

Whilst I do stew & worry at times, lately I seem to go along in denial for a while, making out I am coping just hunky-dory, and there are no issues to deal with! But yes, getting on with the 'dealing' is the way to go, because the worrying is so often worse than the actual event itself ever is...

Hope there is some peace & quiet for you soon...

  7. I think I need to get a copy of that book too! Mind you one can't win though. I have had a sore back for the last week and rather than complain I have suffered in silence. Hubby says to me this morning as I moaned "Oh I thought you were ok now as you haven't been whingeing"!! So I guess it does pay to not stew sometimes lol.

I love your drawing. I think she looks great in black and white but would look awesome in colour too!
