So, I'm just wondering if anyone else is feeling this way about Christmas this year or if it's just me with my grumpy-pants on. I just can't seem to get into it! It feels weird to have to buy presents just for the sake of something that I don't really understand and even my Christmas tree which I used to love to bits seem's out of place! Don't get me wrong...I'm looking forward to the get-togethers and the social side of it all.....just the commercial side of it I suppose.
I thought this sort of thing only happened to grumpy old men! It just feels like something else I have to do! Oh dear!!
Anyways....I finished this watercolour to put on some cards and then I just didn't get around to it. Did you know that people actually get Christmas tree tattoos? Yep, there are a quite a few 'Christmas' themed tattoos in the big wide world. I thought that was wierd.

I can't believe people get Christmas tree tats - frankly I find that just a little bit sad.
And I'm a grumpy-pants this Christmas too. This is in spite of the fact that it has significant religious meaning for my family... but the commercial interpretation of Christmas is so far removed from celebrating the humble birth of a special child in a grotty animal barn that it makes me a little sick to my stomach. Plus I get all of those feelings of anxiety about who I should be buying and making stuff for.
ignore the commercial side, Just keep on creating if that is where your heart is. Get a lovely bottle of wine to give to hostesses if going out to friends for socialising and let loved ones know you are thinking of them and that would be enough.
I've been bah-humbug about Christmas for most of my adult life... didn't really do anything for it before we had children but my partner and I now try to do something to make it special for them... but we don't actually start with it all until Christmas Eve. Months and months of Christmas is just way too much.
Don't know about christmas tree tattoo's but I do know I love this print :)
oh Sam ... me TOO. Grumble bum should be my name especially this week ... bah humbugging all over the place ... and I just don't feel that Christmas vibe ... pooh to me ... I'll have to pull something out of me for the kids but this week I really can't be bothered ... and as for Tree tats ... I'm not sure that should be allowed ... bah humbug
they are cool, they'd look great on a big black tote! Speaking of totes I am re-gifting the left over ones form BrisStyle for Xmas!!
