Oooogaboogaboogabooga.....

(Oogabooga monster)

I've been very spoilt today. Mr Jetta's Nest has taken the boys out for a few hours so that I can hit the sweat shop (literally, it's hot in here) and get some more stock together for the BrisStyle Indie Designers Market which apparently is only 13 sleeps away!!!

(3 monster tees for the BIDM)

These guys are all made from recycled/vintage chenille, eco-felt and have recycled or vintage button eyes. Both of the horned monsters also feature recycled fabrics on their horns and cute little tummies too!

Early next year I'll be endeavouring to use fair-trade tees as much as I can. I'm looking forward to offering that as well as using recyled fabrics. They'll be true eco-monsters then :)

Back to the sweat shop for an afternoon of.......more monsters!

Oh, I nearly forgot. Quite a few years ago I used to paint fairies for a lady that owned a fairy shop. She was quite kooky and believed that I was actually descendant from fairies and when I painted them I was channeling memories of real ones. Yeah....she was kooky! Anways, I've been drawing lots of monsters lately. I wonder what she'd think about that!!

  2. Fabulous Sam. I like the sound of where you're going with the fairtrade Ts as well... hmmm must send my sister (the doting aunt) along to BIDM and see whether she brings some home for the boys. He he.
BTW thanks so much for the email re: baking poweder (I keep forgetting to reply via email when I'm in there!). I'll definitely be whipping that one out for a post, but first I want to try the 'no poo' thing myself! Eeek.

  5. Fantastic Sam! No child would be scared of monsters if they all looked as adorable and cuddly as yours.

  6. Well a big 'H' to you Sammy-O ... these T's are fantastic, and if you listened to the kooky one I'm sure she'd say you're still fairy ... it's gotta be the boys bringing out the li'l monster in you! The bags are fantastic aren't they!

  7. Hi Sam

I was looking around on madeit and found this

There probably isn't much that you can do about it but I thought you would like to know. I thought it was a shirt of yours at first but then realised it's not.
